Vehicle Crime Prevention Update |
||
|
Good morning,
We are aware of a recent incident in which a resident reported the theft of headlights from her vehicle, location Pursers Cross Road SW6. Officers will be conducting a reassurance visit and offering tailored crime‑prevention advice.
Vehicle-related thefts can happen quickly and often target parts that are easy to remove or resell. We’re asking all residents to take a few simple steps to help reduce the risk:
- Park in well‑lit, busy areas wherever possible, or use a garage or driveway. - Ensure your vehicle is locked and check it physically—some keyless systems may not lock if the fob is too close. - Consider anti‑theft measures such as steering locks, wheel clamps, or headlight‑security screws. - Remove valuables and avoid leaving anything visible inside the vehicle. - Report suspicious behaviour immediately, especially individuals loitering around parked cars or using tools.
Your reports help us build a clearer picture of what’s happening locally and allow us to target patrols effectively. If you have any information about this incident or have experienced similar issues, please get in touch.
Together, we can reduce opportunities for vehicle crime and keep our community safer.
